Sri. Rajendra Nakod hails from a family of distinguished classical musicians. His father, Pt. Arjunsa Nakod, was an eminent Hindustani vocalist and teacher under whom Rajendra had his early training in music. He was trained later by his brothers, Pt. Ragunath Nakod (one of the foremost disciples of the great Ustad Shaik Dawood Khan) and Sri. Vishwanath Nakod, both outstanding Tabla players. Rajendra has performed at numerous prestigious music conferences all over India. He has accompanied well-known musicians such as the late Pt. Basvaraj Rajguru, Begum Parveen Sultana and Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. An A-grade artist of the All India Radio, he is equally at home with solo performances.
